As you will have seen already, RatePubs offers a range of complex content in multiple formats. Now we are introducing our bits!

RatePubs Bits allow you to add specific areas of our content to your web site or blog in little bite-sized bits and without requiring any complex XML or other transformations.
Members already have the ability to add their favourite bars, their tours, and their reviews with one line of code. Now anyone can add ratings, maps, and graphical RSS links. All constanlty updated with the latest data.
Here are the first five bits available and the code you need to add them to your site, blog and signature...

Ratings; Show the Overall Rating for any bar in graphical way. The display as seen on the right shows the 5 pint rating for any premises along with a link to its page on RatePubs.com. As the reviews are added, and the rating changes on ratePubs then your display will also be automtically updated. You can choose to implement this using an iFrame or Javascript. Simply copy the relevant code below and change the pubnum to that of the bar you wish to display a rating for. The pubnum is that in the URL of the pubs own page. Maps; Allow people to see where the bar you're interested in is located. Simply supply the pub number and, if we have co-ordinates for it, we will display a graphical link which will bring your visitor to our map - already centered on the bar. If we do not have the co-ordinates then no link will be displayed. We are constantly adding new co-ordinates and if we don't have your bar mapped right now this piece of code will automatically update and show the link when we do. You can choose to implement this using an iFrame or Javascript. Simply copy the relevant code below and change the pubnum to that of the bar you wish to display. Graphical RSS Feeds Put a constantly updating graphical RSS feed on your site or blog. No need to mess with RSS readers or converters. This graphical bit shows the latest RSS headlines on a constantly rotating basis. Clicking on a headline brings the user directly to the relevant page. There are currently three different ones to choose from

Basically anyone is free to use the content and APIs, though the copyright remains ours and we do reserve the right to remove, restrict or edit the feed at any time.

You can use this only on a web site and all we require in return is that you credit us (including a link back to us) on a page within one click of your front page


While you don't need to give us your email address we advise that you do so we can keep you informed of any relevant changes. We won't use this for any other purpose nor will we keep sending you irrelevant mails.
