Sex Not Specified Always wanted ot go to Reykjavik...and managed in January and through 12 Tonar we were informed of Sirkus. We learned that it was to be closed down to be a shopping mall, so a protest weekend ensued with about 40 acts playing. What we found there that weekend was the most wonderful atmosphere ever, communual, friendly, unpretensious. Long live the spirit of Sirkus. Outstanding!!! - Lee Threlkeld, Chester, UK

Sex Not Specified Stumbled upon this whilst looking for the trademark nightlife of Reykjavik. Was a bit unsure of what was behind the closed door. Absolutely unbelievable! Extremely progressive crowd with terrific music. This could be the best club I have been in regarding people. Atmosphere is very low key and also interesting. Bathrooms are putrid. Gotta love the running toilet with a hole in the bowl. - Wildo, USA

Female I am from New York city and go out a lot both here and whenever I travel. Sirkus is the coolest place I have ever been in, bar none. The music is great, the people are crazy and the energy is amazing. Get past the nasty bitch at the door and you will have the time of your life! - kate, usa

Sex Not Specified The doorman at Sirkus is a very bitchy young guy who wears a strategically torn black T-shirt. He refused to let me or my boyfriend in because we are not Icelandic. Very disappointing, considering that we come from a city that is so welcoming to tourists from all over the world. Hopefully this doorman will visit NYC one day and get the crap kicked out of his snotty ass. - Karma's A Bitch, USA
