Sex Not Specified Excellent small friendly Pub that serves very interesting and tasty food. They typically have two menus, one full of rarely changing English, Scottish, Irish and Dutch favourites and a second menu of daily specials. To be a clear, not a daily special but a menu of specials. The specials are varied and are from around the world. Always an interesting vegetarian option as well which I often choose despite not being a vegetarian at all.

The pubs also serves Old Speckled Hen, one of the best English traditional real ales.

The Pub has a healthy mix of Dutch and foreign clientele. Never too full with quietly piped music that you do not have to shout over.

It is a good place to go and eat and relax if alone on a business trip. They have a selection of newspapers and magazines in both Dutch and English to help make you feel comfortable.

Sex Not Specified I went to this place every single visit in Den Haag. The food is nice and the owner is really nice! I will surely go back for my next visit. - K, Malaysia

Sex Not Specified Run by a Dragon who's quite happy for you to sit at the bar, but won't let you sit in the lounge bar if you're not eating, even if you're with people who are eating. This led to the strange situation whereby we could sit five yards away from our friends but not actually with them. Easily the least welcoming pub in Den Haag. Shame, because the drink is good and the food above average. I've just had one too many unpleasant experiences with the owners. - Jeff, Netherlands

Sex Not Specified This quiet pub/restaurant in a sidestreet is a real gem in Den Haag. It's a really relaxed spot that's good to call in to for a few quiet pints. It's an old type pub rather than a night-club scene. The drink is average but the real star here is the food. I've been in twice when I've been to The Hague and I'll definitely be going back. The menu ranges from old reliables like fish, chips and peas to adventurous mixes. The common thread among them is the balance between solid, filling food and great taste. It's one of the best places to eat I've been in for ages. COmbined with a relaxed few pints this is a real gem in the Hague. - Brian, Ireland
