Very disappointing food. Seafood chowder, listed as containing whitefish, scallops, shrimp, etc., ended up a small bowl of cream with a few canned baby shrimp. $8 for something one could get out of a can, and in fact some of the most mediocre chowder I've ever had in Maine. Beer is good, but then again why wouldn't it be?
Just okay. Bottom line: price for value, go somewhere else. - ira, usa

We took friends to this establishment as a pre-concert dinner prior to seeing Leahy play that evening. It was a very stormy snowy night, and our vantage from the multi-paned windows in the 2nd story dining room gave us a view that was absolutely Dickensian as the lamp posts lit the night and bundled people hurried to get in out of the storm. That only added to the attractiveness of the lit fireplace in the corner of our dining area. The upstairs is divided into many nooks and crannies, larger seating areas and more private ones. We ordered from a menu offering the classic Maine seafood dishes and the very traditional Irish preparations; so our meals ranged from lobster rolls to Irish stew and sausages with colcannon. Everything was delicious and very well done! Unfortunately, we had to leave before 8:00 pm in order to arrive at the Leahy concert, so we missed what Bull Feeney's had to offer that evening by way of musical entertainment; but not to worry, we surely will to back in order to check that out, as well! Oh, and lest i forget, our Guiness that night was served to us with the typical shamrock "engraved" into the foam. Bull Feeney's also had posted that evening that they were now serving Smithwicks, so yet another reason to return! - DB Foster, USA
