An excellent host with a most beautiful setting in the countryside. Food is simple but varied with great taste. No pressure atmosphere makes for a wonderfully relaxed meal and a chat with Mattieu and his staff. Prices are very reasonable for the area, wine is good and he has some different items on the menu, variations on some local Perigord Noir themes but all very tasty. I highly reccommend this place if you fancy something slightly different and away from the madding crowd. - barry, France

Great Irish bar out in the French Dordogne countryside, just north of Sarlat. Mattieu, the owner has first-hand experience from Cork. Draft Guinness, Belgium beers and also food served in the adjoining Auberge. - Anon, France
