We stayed in Quito for 1 week and must have gone almost every day to Finn McCools. The atmosphere is great because it is an even mix of tourists from all over, and locals as well. The owner (Lee) is great, and the rest of the staff is about as friendly as you can get- we felt like we were leaving a family after only one week. The drinks are a great price even though it's in the "expensive" part of town, and their cable system lets them play just about anything you want on the teli (we watched gaelic football one day). Although some of the food could use a bit of work, the shepherds pie and fried breakfast are great, but hey, at 12 midnight I want beer, not a 5-star meal. A definite must see if you are in Quito. - Aaron Liersemann, United States

OK, I am one of the owners so may be a little biased, but you gotta check out Finns, it is your local pub away from home, you will feel at home from the moment you walk in. We have just got our sky plus working from the UK so now show premiership games live, and BBC match of the day highlights, we now also show the GAA games - Lee Vintner, Ecuador
