Male Smashing wee location a stones throw form the bridge and opera house. Bar looks like someones lounge. Its tiny, but welcoming. They have a decent selection of drinks but a jug of VB is ok value. Cobbled court yard out the back is really nice. Ideal for after work or a rest from the tourist trail. Its quiet (well other than the other customers) but by quiet I mean you are lock away from the hussle of the busy tourist street outside & 24hr traffic. The court yard is very old and authentic, with a decent if not a little pricey food menu. DIY BBQ is very popular and common in OZ. $20 odd bucks to cook your own meat is expensive by butcher prices, but its a nice idea, fun and works out 8quid so get over it tight arse, your less than 50m away from one of the man made wonders of the world. Well worth a visit. "And I want a pint of tartan special"

Sex Not Specified Do it yourself BBQ place with very expensive cuts of meat, that are very poor quality. Salads were limp and unappealing. This place seems to cater primarily for tourists and it's a shame they're subjected to this rip-off. - Cameron, Australia

Sex Not Specified This is a good lively spot. The front is a stand-alone bar but go through to the back and there is a courtyard. Here you can select from a range of meats which you grill yourself. Packed on the evening I was there it seems to be a very popular location. Good for either a night in the bar or a relaxed un-fussy meal. I'll pay it another visit if I get back to Sydney
