Stayed in A'Dam for 3 months and loved going here for a feed. The servings are flinstone sized and staff are funny not rude. Highly recommend it when hungry and thirsty. Close to the L'plein but hidden away at the same time. - nmoo, australia

I lived in Amsterdam for a while and ate here at least a couple times per week. The food is *excellent*. The staff can be rude, but it's to everyone, locals and tourists alike, and on purpose... they would bust my balls every occasion they got. You just have to enjoy it as something different. Not sure if Dave from the previous comments was in the same place. The staff there were lovely, couldn't have been nicer, and we were non locals. The food was amazing, and the price was excellent. Word of warning, the portions are HUGE, so don't over order otherwise you will have food left over. I would go again without hesitation and recommend them for their lovely warm welcome and excellent food. - Elisa, United Kingdom

Staff were horrible but stuck it out because the food looked great.Glad we stayed coz the food was amazing and it overpowered the staff's rudeness to all non-locals. - Dave, Ireland

They love visitors and locals. Steak is GREAT and Ribs even better. Standard drinks and fast service!! This is a MUST SEE in Amsterdam. Try the escargot as an appetizer, smothered in butter and garlic. I have been here each visit to Holland and last week was my 5th, always good. - Vincent, USA

As has been previously stated about De Klos the ribs are the best in the city.

Excellent, small, traditional dutch bar, good beers, the food was fantastic and the portions immense! Great atmosphere and friendly staff. If it's busy you may have to wait for a table as there were only 4 of them, but most people eat whilst sat round the bar! We will definitely be dropping in again on our next visit. - Phil & Michelle, England
