Male good to see that the world remains unchanged.Been almost six months since I last visited the Jacobs Well and you still can't get a fucking drink (my favourite Aussie expression).I think it's just a bad design or something, maybe some sort of barrier to divide the service area from the drinking area would help because the staff just don't seem to be able to see you through the drinkers at the bar.Crap band this time, but you can't win them all I suppose.Stillo love the place, the locals provide an atmosphere you can't explain. Male A great little spot.I was there also when Louie and The Saxman were playing.Great night although a little quiet for a Friday.Guest artist was Muddy, great vocalist and good guy.You are right as far as staff go,need more, but how do you pick the busy nights?Don't miss the raffles on a Sunday.

Sex Not Specified A lovely little pub almost next to the water in what seems to be a fishing village just North of the famous Gold Coast in Queensland.Staying with a friend for a while in his houseboat moored near by so ventured over for a drink.First impressions: God it's hard to get a drink.Bar staff, while good at what they do are hopelessly outnumbered by patrons and if there had been another hotel nearby,I would have left.Got better as the night wore on.Food was very good, price was reasonable.Entertainment on this Friday night was by Louie and the Saxman,a biker look duo with some great songs, that kept the crowd entertained.Later in the night,a guest artist appeared on stage and could really belt out a tune, didn't catch his name but the pub should be booking him.Sunday, the raffles are sold by the local sports club or something and the place is packed with fishermen, tourists and bikers (of the quiet kind).Entertainment was by a foursome with keyboard playing vocalist who showed some talent,we stayed til dark but again understaffed for such a huge day.Overall though,I'll be back. - veritas, Canada
