Celebrated my husbands birthday at The Burrendah last week with a group of 20 of us....It was a Friday night and very busy as is usually the case when we dine here. The Burrendah has undergone some recent renovations and the alfresco area is very nice, there is an open kitchen and you can see the chefs as they prepare your meal. The prices are very fair....the steaks are huge and range between $27 and $32... I had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon with fresh scallops and it just melted in my mouth, everyone commented on the high standard of the food all the steak eaters on our table were especially impressed. We told the duty manager how pleased we were with the food and he told us that the head chef was an award winning chef and this didn't at all surprise us! We brought our own cake and were not charged any extra, which was a nice surprise. All the staff were very friendly.... we were so pleased with the food and service. My husband and I, along with all my friends and family will definantley be back again. my only tip would be make sure you book on friday nights as it was so busy!

THE BURRENDON'T - BAD CHEF...BAD FOOD...EVEN WORSE MANAGER

In this current economic climate you want to get good value for money and you would think that customer service and satisfaction is a high priority.

Have just come back from Burrendah for a late lunch, have been there before for drinks and dinner and thought it was ok for price, however to our disgust our lunch today was worse than mediocre. We had the platter to start with that included pickled seafood (odd and waste of decent seafood) pickled vegies and other dry antipasto bits. We thought we would let it go and waited for our mains.

Unfortunately when our mains arrived our experience worsened. The club sandwich was dry and full of cheap bacon/cheese and dry bread with lots of tomato sauce to cover the poor produce. The Moroccan pizza had barely any cheese and had large, dry and tough pieces of lamb. It was like eating cardboard. It was overly sprinkled with dry oregano, again to cover up the terrible produce.

We took back to manager after a couple of bites and asked for our money back. He refused to acknowledge our dissatisfaction and told us that the lamb was "too big" but insisted that we have another pizza even though we were so put off by our entire order.

WE ended up leaving most of our food and will never come back due to the poor attitude by the manager and their unskilled chefs.

We have never reviewed online before but our experiece was so poor that we were compelled to write something and will be posting this review on other sites to warn potential diners. - Rob, Australia
