Irish-themed bars are usually a dime-a-dozen and from the outside and decor the Dubliner doesn't seem any different. But the craic is great during the weekend and, unlike pubs located in Ireland, this one stays open until after 5am! There's usually live music and a friendly (if slightly intoxicated) crowd. - Theo, Netherlands

A small but cosy bar that seems well worth dropping into if you're in Reykjavik. Has live music, though I'm not clear what nights. It's the usual wood with candles on the tables but the atmosphere didn't seem to be the manufactured type of a lot of Irish bars around the world, possbily a factor of its size.

The Dubliner is a nice cosy Irish pub in the center of Reykjavik. Just the place to drop in out of the cold for a pint and stay for a few hours. Unlike your typical Irish Theme Pub this is a small one-room establishment that has a much more "real" feel to it. The decorations are as you would expect...lots of woods and knick-knacks on the wall. The music is all Irish as well and there is live music most nights. But the Irishness is not overdone to the point it becomes forced. Instead it does feel more natural and on weekends there is a great party atmosphere. Definitely a spot to visit on any trip to Reykjavik - Brian
