I play at Cleeres alongside the regular musicians a few times a year when I get to Ireland. One of Ireland's hidden treasures. It's the longest running session in Ireland now 29 years I think, every monday night. Great atmosphere, only a small bar with limited seating but not to be missed - Desi C, Originally KK now England

I played in Cleeres myself last Monday night 02nd May and it became my regular while at the Kilkenny cat Laffs Comedy festival, I can highly reccomend both. Try Kytelers Inn on friary st too for excellent trad nights - Desi Corcoran, England

Brilliant Monday night sessions

I was in Ireland for a week, and in my weeklong travels, this was the pub i enjoyed most. The music was absolutely mesmerising (monday) and i would highly recommend it for anyone travelling through kilkenny.
